Depiction of the emperor Haile Selassie I from Ethiopia, attending an event at the Expo 67 world fair, at Saint Helen's Island (Montreal) During the month of May 1967. The emperor was present from the 4th to the 6th day of the event, which was from the 1st to the 3rd of May 1967. Expo 67 was designed to project the world into the future. Man, his achievements, and his capabilities. Innovations from many fields were on display, such as engineering, architecture, industrial design, technology, etc. There were also exhibitions of visual arts, social sciences, and humanities. Many world leaders and celebrities participated in this event. The presence of Emperor Haile Selassie I at this event was a symbolic step of his intent to bring his country ahead to the new millennium.
*The symbols in patterns, on the side of the image, refer to the cross star of the Order of the Holy Trinity, followed by the star of the Order of the Seal of King Solomon.
